Now, evenly spread the meat over the beans. Be sure to evenly spread out the beans over the rice so that you get some beans with each bite. Now, add about the same amount of beans, give or take. Evenly spread beans, meat and cheese over the rice.Add about ⅓ cup of rice down in the center of your tortilla and spread it with a spoon so that it forms a rectangle down the middle of the tortilla, making sure to leave a couple of inches bare on each side so you can tuck them into your finished burrito. Let’s assume you’re going all the way and filling your chimichanga with rice, beans, meat and cheese. Now, lay your tortilla down flat on a cutting board or large plate. You don’t want to toast the tortilla, just simply warm it up so that it’s more pliable. You will want to gently warm up your tortilla in a tortilla warmer, on a dry skillet or in the microwave. Flour tortillas are the most flexible and best for wrapping up all the fillings. Gently warm a large, thin flour tortilla or wrap. ![]()
